Cleburne, Texas - Eddie was born August 31, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to Ed and Marilyn Goodspeed. Eddie grew up in Joshua, Texas and attended Joshua School. He graduated from Burleson High School. Eddie married Elaine on June 16, 1998 at Possum Kingdom Lake. They made their home in the Community of Egan. Eddie started in the excavation business when he was young working with his father Ed Sr., and he was also a dirt broker. He was very good at what he did and was well liked by everyone that met him. Eddie had so many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Eddie is survived by his wife Elaine of Egan, Texas, step-son Michael McKay and his wife Lesley of San Antonio, Texas, brother Lacon Goodspeed of Lake Fork, Texas, brother Gary Goodspeed and his wife Derenda of Joshua, Texas, and their daughter Katie Goodspeed and her daughter Halen Hardin of Burleson, Texas, and extended family and friends.
