Sam Nowlin Obituary
Cleburne, Texas - Sam Nowlin, 91, of Cleburne, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2025. He was born April 29, 1934, to Sam Nowlin, Sr., and Fannie Nowlin.
Sam met the love of his life, Billie Marie Stepp, and they were married for almost 62 years. He served our country in the United States Coast Guard for many years, and after retiring worked for Joshua ISD.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Pauline Cooper, Juanita Kirtley, and Beulah Head; one daughter Fannie Nowlin Yocom, and husband Terry; his son Steven Nowlin; and one son-in-law Buford Ward.
Survivors include his children, Sidney Wells and husband Garland; Bettye Ward; Glenda Willingham and husband Terry; Elizabeth Stamper; one daughter-in-law Alice Nowlin; fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great- grandchildren.
