Bob (Robert) Robinette passed away on March 26, 2025. Bob made a difference in so many lives, and the world is brighter for having him in it. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Angela Robinette, daughter Lynn Robinette, child Nick Robinette, and many loving family and friends.

Bob was an avid birder and nature photographer. He loved nature like his parents, and taught his children the importance of conservation and protecting the environment. His summers were spent outdoors- kayaking, hiking, fishing, birdwatching, gardening, and appreciating the beauty of the natural world.

He constantly worked on his garden, and was an active member of the native plant society of Texas. He was passionate about native species, and worked to have wildflower medians installed in Garland Texas.

Bob never met a stranger, and was always willing to help friends and neighbors with anything he could. A handyman and jack of all trades, he was always helping with car repair, home repairs, and anything people needed help with.

He was a teacher at GISD for over 35 years. He taught Career Technology Education such as shop, graphic design, and web design. He taught ISS and credit recovery, and loved encouraging his students to not give up on their education and find careers that interested them and matched their talents. He touched many students lives, and knew through his own experience the transformative power of a good education.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, mourners please donate to the Audubon or Nature Conservancy, and vote for politicians who protect our natural environment.

A memorial service will be held at the Keene Church Annex at 1pm on April 6.
