Melva Sue Swain Obituary

Melva Sue Donoho Swain, 82, of Grandview passed away on Friday, June 21st, 2019, in the Grandview Nursing Home after many years of battling health issues.


Melva was preceded in death by her parents, Vester Donoho and Elsie May Roberts Donoho. Also preceded in death by Edwin Earl Swain, the love of her life, whom she married on June 3rd, 1955.


They had 3 children, Kal Swain (preceded in death), Ken Swain of Arlington, and Kim Swain of Grandview. They have two grandchildren, Candice McNaught and Kristopher Swain and six great grandchildren.


Melva was baptized into the Christian faith as a believer in Jesus Christ and believer in the Holy Bible as God's true word in 1946.


Melva was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker, Sunday School teacher, piano player, Secretary, bookkeeper, historian, researcher, community service liaison, fund raiser, supporter, and so much more to many many people in Johnson County, Texas. She willingly shared her life and love with so many people in this community.


She will be missed.
