Cleburne, Texas - Visitation for Maggie J. Tiner, will be held at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will take place Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Maggie J. Tiner, a cherished member of College Heights Baptist Church and beloved matriarch of her family, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on September 1, 1933, in Cleburne, Texas, Maggie lived her entire life in the embrace of her hometown, touching the lives of many with her unwavering dedication, kindness, and faith.

Maggie was a devoted mother and grandmother, embodying the merits of a strong work ethic and serving as a remarkable example of a great Christian woman. Her commitment to her faith shone brightly in her role as a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years, where she inspired countless children through her lessons and nurturing spirit. She was always honest and genuine, instilling values of hard work and compassion in her family.

Maggie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Bobby Vaughan Tiner, parents, Louis and Kate Stepp Lilly; her daughter, Susan Echols; her granddaughter, Adandis Echols; and her sister, Barbara Shivers.

Maggie is survived by her brothers, Louis K. Lilly, Joe Lilly, and Carroll Lilly, her children, Cathy Roy, Shirley Roberts, and James Tiner. Her family also includes 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values and love she shared throughout her remarkable life.

Maggie J. Tiner will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who are forever grateful for her love, strength, and unwavering faith.
