San Marcos, Texas - Lyndon Keith Shelton was born on December 21, 1950 to Lenox Edward and Thelmarene Nutt Shelton of Cleburne, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Cleburne and a graduate of Cleburne High School in 1971, before serving in the United States Army for two years as a 16D Hawk Missile Crewman, serving 14 months in Germany.
Upon his return home, Lyndon followed the family heritage and worked for the Santa Fe railroad in Cleburne. Lyndon enjoyed the simple life, where he walked to his own tune. He had a passion for motorcycles and sports cars. Lyndon passed away peacefully, in his home, on September 11, 2025 in San Marcos, Texas. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents.
Lyndon is survived by his brother Lenox Kent Shelton and his wife Tina, his older sister Pamala Renee Spahr, his younger sister Kathryn Shelton, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will hold a casual Celebration of Life at Hulen Park, 846 Hillsboro St., under the pavilion near the train in Cleburne, Texas on Saturday, October 25th, from 1 pm to 4 pm. Refreshments provided. Please bring your memories you would like to share.
