Janie Adell Upchurch, 81, of Alvarado, became a heavenly angel on March 1, 2016. Janie was born on March 8, 1934, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Henry and Lillie Pope. She was a devoted Christian who loved to spend time with and make delicious cupcakes for her family and friends. Janie was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Janie was preceded in death by her husband Will of 64 years.
She is survived by her brother James Pope; sister, Virginia Dobbins; her children Dorothy and James Daugherty, Henry Upchurch, Roger Upchurch, Lois and Leonard O'Pry, Lillie and Curtis Erwin, John and Margaret Upchurch, and David and Rhonda Upchurch; 44 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
