It has been our pleasure to have known and been a friend to Homer for the past 15 years. We worked together on different projects like "Red Hat Society" fashion shows and "Relay For Life" and he was always willing to help in any way he could. We have laughed and had so many good times. At one particular Fashion show for "Red Hats", the men dressed like women and Homer was the escort for all the "Lady Models". Jan had made Homer a pair of shorts from purple and red material. Six men dressed as women and they all floated across the stage with ease. At the very end of the show, Homer dropped his suit pants and turned around. On the back of the shorts Jan had embroidered "THE END". ...It got the biggest laugh ever. At a different fashion show, Homer dressed as a woman himself and not a very good looking one, I might say. Homer in ladies clothes, makeup and a wig is a sight to see. But again it created a big laugh and always in fun. Charlotte and I always enjoyed singing back-up for Homer as we sang "Peace In The Valley" at Karaoke. So many good times and so many laughs, and a whole lot more. Homer was a giving, loving and funny human being and a man of God. He said many a prayer at our pot luck Karaoke dinners. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.Read more
