Grandview, TX - Ella Christine "Chris" Loflin, 88, of Grandview, Texas, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
Born on November 4, 1936, Chris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bryl Dean Loflin, and two sons, Brad and Brian Loflin.
Chris is lovingly remembered by her son, Bruce Loflin, and his wife, Tina; her daughter, Barbara Lott, and her husband, Jeff; as well as her daughter-in-law, Margaret Valdez and sister Anne Phillips. She was a proud grandmother to Cassey Freeman, Amanda Irvin, Brande Loflin, Jessica Loflin, Josh Loflin, and Kyle LeBaron, and was blessed with several great-grandchildren who brought her great joy.
She also leaves behind dear friends Billy Sue Blekkenk and Cheryl Greer, whose friendship enriched her life and brought her comfort and laughter through the years.
Chris had a deep love for music and faithfully played the piano at church for over 50 years. Her gift for music extended into her community as she brought comfort and joy to the residents of Grandview Nursing Home by playing for them regularly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Grandview Nursing Home toward the purchase of a piano in Chris's memory—so her love of music can continue to touch lives.
Though she has left this earthly life, Chris now rejoices in Heaven, her music echoing in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.
