Earnest Dewayne Richters, 79, died Wednesday, November 18, 2021 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Celebration of life will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Alvarado High School Gym with Pastor Kim Long officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the celebration.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Everett Richters of Alvarado, four children; Alex and Lesley Richters, Markus Richters and Terry Raymer, Jeff and Heather Richters, Amy and Stephen Evans and 13 grandchildren; and numerous adopted grandchildren "by heart".

He was preceded in death by his parents Earnest and Lucille (Arnett) Richters; sisters: Vets Spears, Ginger Davis, and Madeline Raney; and brother Dean Richters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or the Dewayne "Coach" Richters Memorial Fund in c/o Alvarado ISD.
