Bobby Dale Morris went to be with the Lord July 26,2021, in his 80th year at the Cityview Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Waiting for him were his parents, Melvin Morris and Lucille Couch Burdette, and step-father Travis Burdette, sister Tracy Burdette, brother Paul Morris, grandmothers, grandfathers, and uncles, aunts and cousins and a multitude of other that loved him.
Bobby was a lifetime resident of Alvarado and a proud member of the First Methodist Church. If you knew Bobby everyone was his friend and he loved everyone. Our world would be a better place if only we could view the world the child-like way Bobby did.
Service: 10 AM Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado, Texas, Rev. Kim Long will be the officiate.
Pallbearers: Gerald Owen, Jim Rhoades, Kerry Paulson, Cecil Taylor, Nathan Maxon, Christopher Williamson.
I want to personally thank all of the members of the First Methodist Church that welcomed him in and made him feel loved. Without your love and support he would not have been able to stay home as long as he did.
Some of these special people are Gerald and Nancy Owen, John and Mary Percifield, Michael Percifield, Loyd Adair, Dan Fisher, Bryan Patrick, Kim Long, and Gene Paulson, Meals on Wheels and the employees of Brookshires Grocery and David's Grocery. The Alvarado PD that so patiently came when he would call 911 and hung up. The Alvarado Fire Department who responded when Bobby had an issue. I need to also mention Caroline Campbell who volunteered to take Bobby's beloved dog Tank while Bobby was trying to recover.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Methodist Church Alvarado, Texas or Meals on Wheels
Survivors: Bobby's dog Tank, he said Tank was the child he never had and loved with all his being. Brother Eugene (Gene) Morris and Jo, Sister Mary Maxon and Gene Paulson, aunt and uncle Mickey and Raymond West, nieces and nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends that loved him.
