Thomas "TN" Naaman Jones Jr., 84, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, New Heart FWC, 420 N. Anglin St., Cleburne, TX.
TN was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He carried his Bible everywhere and would tell you the truth as he saw it. He was unique, and you always knew where he stood. He told the truth out of love, whether you wanted to hear it or not.
TN was faithful to God and loved his church family. He was born Aug. 9, 1931, in Greenwood, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Austin; son, Roger; and granddaughter, Jennifer.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for many years and would gladly talk with anyone about the Lord on his CB radio, phone or in person. TN loved fishing, hunting, guns, pocket knives and gardening. He was old school with old fashioned views and values. Common sense, hard worker and tough as nails, a real Texas cowboy.
He is survived by his wife, Vernell Louise Jones; four children, Danny, Dale, Midge and Jody; eight grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
