Teddy Neil Duckett, 68, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2017. He was born on January 27, 1949 in Thorp Springs, Texas to Bennie and Mozelle Duckett.
Teddy was a life-long resident of Alvarado. As a young man he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a friend to many and will be missed.
His memory will be cherished by his daughter, Katie and husband Jeremy Vanlandingham of Whitney; grandchildren Jerin and Kambrie of Whitney; daughter Terri Davis of Michigan; sister, Mary and husband Doyle Marbut of Alvarado; brother, Steve Duckett and wife Gaye of Burleson; uncle Hardie Moore and wife Bessie of Granbury; sister-in-law, Judy Tyree of Burleson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Jimmy and sister, Sharon.
His family would like to extend their gratitude to the MICU nurses and doctors at Huguley Hospital, as well as the Hospice House, for caring for him in his final days.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, April 15, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Rest Cemetery. US 67, CR 810, Alvarado, Texas.
