Starlene Tennison, 80, passed from this life on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Galbreaith-Pickard Hilltop Chapel in Willow Park. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Starlene was born the eighth of 10 children on Aug. 8, 1936, in Sylvester, Texas, to Jesse Green and Cleo Weaver Green.
She was a gifted musician with the ability to play almost any instrument she picked up and loved to sing and dance.
Star, as she was known, loved to travel, tend her flower garden and watch old westerns. The family related that she was the wisest person they knew. She served the Lord as a faithful member of Fellowship Temple in Fort Worth.
Star was preceded in death by her son, Clinton Tennison.
Starlene is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dale Tennison of Saginaw; daughter, Sherry Zumwalt and husband, Mike, of Fort Worth; sons, Gary Tennison and wife, Christi, of Fort Worth, Roy Tennison and wife, Gwennette, of Aledo, and Nathan Tennison of Briar; brother, Wallace Green of Graham; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
