Ernest Fowler, age 68, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away Sunday evening, January 22, 2017, in a Ft. Worth hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian with Rev. Charles Collett officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Visitation will be from noon until service time.
Ernest was born September 12, 1948, in Haltom City, Texas, a son of the late Ernest R. Fowler and Vera C. Tucker Fowler. On July 26, 1969, he was united in marriage to Betty Ann Mitchell in Glen Rose, Texas. Ernest worked on the flight line maintenance department for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin for over 40 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Ernest loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Fowler, of Cleburne; daughter, Carolyn Jo Fowler of Cleburne; son, Jimmy Fowler and wife, Penny, of Lakeside Village; grandchildren, Deanna Lawrence and husband, Zane, of Lake Arlington, Derek and Dana Fowler, of Lakeside Village; great-granddaughter, Kynzlee Lawrence of Lake Arlington; sister, Ann Mershaw and husband, Ray, of Whitney; brother, Jimmie Fowler and wife, Donna, of Aledo; number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
