Edward H. Brown, 96, of Palestine, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2017. A memorial service will be conducted at Evangelistic Temple in Palestine, Texas on June 15th by Jason Harris. Burial will be in Palestine City Cemetery.
Edward was born in Cleburne, Texas on August 31, 1920 to William Howard and Othello Reeves Brown. He was a 1939 graduate of Cleburne High School. During WW II, he served in the United States Coast Guards (1942-1945). He attended the University of Houston and was a former employee for the Houston Natural Gas Company and Intex in Houston, Texas. After retirement in 1982, his interests continued in traveling, genealogy and animals especially birds. He moved to Palestine in 1983.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Phyllis Dale Brown, Helen Joan Toepper Brown, and Nona Marie Mollard Brown, brother, William Earnest Brown, and sister Marion West Parks,
He is survived by a sister, Letha Grace Brown McCoy, nieces, Rosalie and Vancy Jo Brown and nephews William E. and Frank S. Brown,. And a host of loving family members, friends, and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palestine Evangelistic Temple directed to the Missions Programs or a charity of your choice.
