Funeral services for Thelma Lee Rosser McClure, 90, a resident of Cleburne, Texas for 85 years before moving to Riddle, Oregon for the past 5 years, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Westhill Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Thelma went to meet her Savior on October 14, 2017. She was born to Seby & Georgie "Joy" Rosser on May 6, 1927 in Cleburne. Thelma attended Friendship School and Cleburne High School, graduating in 1944.
She married John Franklin McClure Jr. on July 3, 1948 in Alvarado, Texas.
They owned McClure Company/So-Lo Auto Parts in Cleburne and raised three children, Gay, Denora and John III.
Thelma adored family, church, making visuals for Sunday School, running the "Seed Room", painting, gardening and her "Visual Aid Mafia" group.
She attended Central, Westhill, Richland Hills and Tri-City Churches of Christ.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Seby and Georgie Joy Rosser; husband, John Franklin McClure Jr.; brothers, James and Melvin Rosser; sister, Rena Hudzietz; nephews, Bart Hale and Jamie Rosser; niece, Sonja Dell Bradley; and great granddaughter, Brooke Kortum Hackett.
She is survived by her children, Gay McClure Love of Cleburne, Texas, Denora (Erwin) Hackett of Riddle, Oregan and John McClure III of Cleburne, Texas; brother, Gene Rosser of Cleburne, Texas; sister, Velda Maupin of Granbury, Texas; sister-in-law, Angie Rosser of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Robert (Michele) Love of Dallas, Texas, Robin Watkins of Plano, Texas, Dawn (Toby) Mills, Erwin (Eileen) Hackett and Cody (Tami) Hackett, all of Riddle, Oregon and Austin (Ashley) McClure of Godley, Texas; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Claire and Charles Love, Alec Brannon, Ryan Watkins, Dylan, Emma and Ethan Hackett and Byron and Hadley McClure; and numerous other family and countless friends.
