Syble Claudette Bowen

Events

Syble Claudette Bowen, 87, of Cleburne Texas, left this earth peacefully on December 25, 2018 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents William Oscar and Ola Lou Turner of Cleburne, Texas, brothers Oliver Weldon Turner of Whitney, Texas, Files Turner of Cleburne, Texas, O.O "Dude" Turner of Burleson, Texas, sisters Oma Faye Epperson of Houston, Texas, Wilda Fern Hoggard of Houston, Texas, husband Bill Bowen of Midland, Texas, daughter Barbie Brooks of Hobbs, New Mexico, and son Steve Lynch of Cody, Wyoming. She is survived by son Bart Lynch of Hobbs, New Mexico, and grandson Braxton Lawler of Cleburne, Texas, whom she raised as her son. She is also survived by grandchildren Karen Lynch of Shelby, Montana, Amber Norby of Hobbs, New Mexico, Travis Lynch of Hobbs, New Mexico, Josh Lynch of Parachute, Colorado, Suzi Jarrel of Hobbs, New Mexico, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the Cleburne area who spoiled and loved her in her final days.
Claudette valued family more than anything and loved each member of our family fiercely: she could always be counted on. She spent her days doing for others and loved cooking and taking food to people. She will forever be known for her famous chili and peanut butter balls. Claudette loved the Lord with all her heart and had faith that could move mountains. She will always be remembered sitting in her rocker with her two dogs Lili and Sonic on her lap and listening to worship music while watching fox news. We are comforted in knowing that our Mema is rejoicing in Heaven with her family and our Lord, and is celebrating, in a way we can only imagine.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday December 29, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home in Hobbs, New Mexico. Online condolences may be made at www.griffinfuneralhomehobbs.com
