Stacy's Story

Stacy Ann Rich, 55, of Joshua, passed away January 2nd, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV, due to kidney failure. She was born on July 10th, 1962 at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet Dunleavy Rich, grandparents Ted and Gertrude Rich, and niece Misty Gray-Sullivan. She is survived by her son, Sgt Chancelor Wilde Rich, USMC, of Beaufort, South Carolina; father: Jimmy Rich Sr. and wife Sharon of Cleburne; brothers: Jay Rich and fiancé Tesia Dearborn of Cleburne, Jimmy Rich Jr. and wife Latricia of Joshua, Dean Sullivan and wife Janice of Cleburne; sister: Jill Galbraith and husband Christopher of Cleburne; nephews: Jared Cabrera of Cleburne, Matthew Kahla and fiancé Amanda Madigan of Keene, Jeremy Rich and wife Dialfin of Beaumont, Corbin Sullivan, Nathan Abramoski, Jacob Abramoski, Andrew Merck, Matthew Galbraith, and Nathan Galbraith all of Cleburne, Jacob Galbraith and wife Abby of Fort Worth; nieces: Jamie Tyson of Godley, Ellaina Sullivan of Cleburne, Brianne Merck of Houston, Emily Howell and husband Jonathan of Fort Worth, Sarah Galbraith of Bowie, and Rachel Marie Galbraith, unborn; along with many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and good friends who will miss her dearly. Stacy graduated from Harrison High School, Colorado Springs, CO, in 1981. She worked as a realtor and property manager in Texas and Nevada. She was an author with many unpublished works. She was an active parent-volunteer with the Joshua High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. Stacy loved being a mother, and it gave her much pride when Chancelor went into the United States Marine Corps. She was a big supporter of the military and was so proud of her Marine son and his service to our country. Services are planned for Thursday, January 11th, 4pm, at Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne. Reverend Christopher Galbraith will officiate.
