Joetta's Story

Joetta Sue Bollin Croft, 62, of Rio Vista, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2016 at the VA Medical Center Dallas surrounded by her loving children.
A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M on Saturday, August 6, at the Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado. Ricky C Moon will officiate. A family burial will be held at a later date.
Joetta was born at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Xenia, OH to Otis TrueLove Bollin and Doris Rankin Bollin on January 21, 1954.
Joetta went to school in Alvarado, and then proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. She was a bartender for many years, and retired after 25+ years in the trucking industry. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great grandson do what they loved, which was everything from sports and gymnastic, showing livestock and driving race cars. She was a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and mother, but most importantly she was GRAMMY JOE.
Joetta is preceded in death by her mother and father; step mother Edna Bollin; sisters, Betty Jane Bollin and Cathie Ann Dolter; brothers, Steve Bollin and Richard Bollin; and granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Riskey.
Joetta is survived by her 4 children Zenda Cure and husband, Rick, of Rio Vista, Sonja Riskey and husband, Michael, of Commerce, Chris Basham and wife, Michelle, of Commerce, Richard Holliday and wife, Peaches, of Granbury; 7 grandkids, Ashley Hamel, Quinten Bone, Mikey Riskey, Matt Riskey, Brittney Basham, Hayley Basham and Hannah Holliday; 1 great grandson, Jude Russell; 2 sisters, Glenda Collins, of Alvarado and Joy Riffe of Bonham; 4 brothers, Pete Dyer, of Venus, Roy Dyer, of Alvarado, Marty Hess, of Portland OR, Brian Hess, of Portland OR; sister in Law, Pam Bollin, of Albuquerque NM; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family of Joetta, wish to extend our sincere thanks to all of the Doctors and Nurses of Texas Health Harris ICU in Cleburne, and the VA Medical Center MICU in Dallas, for the outstanding care of our Mother. The compassion and kindness extended to our family will not be forgotten. To all the family and friends who have called, sent text and prayed for her, Thank You! She was truly loved by so many people and blessed to have you in her life.
