Joel "Froggy" Miller, 74, a longtime resident of Alvarado, TX passed away on July 8, 2016. Joel was born on July 31, 1941 in Detroit, TX to Jim and Laura Miller. He was a 55-year vet to the trucking industry and proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Joel was proud of his service. He flew a Marine Corps flag in his front yard and was a lifetime member of the Alvarado VFW. Joel was a dedicated family man, he seldom missed any of his Family Reunions. He was a caring and loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his Life Partner, Cecilia Womack; a son, Charlie Griffin and wife Kristy; a step-son, Charlie Womack; 4 daughters, Beth, Patti, Grace and Becky; 2 sisters, Fredia and Ann and numerous grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of his life will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home with Chris Harris officiating. Interment will follow at the Bluff Cemetery in Detroit, TX at 3:30 PM on the same day. The family will receive friends at the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado on Tuesday, July 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
