Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Currie, age 68, of Cleburne, Texas and formerly of Brady, Texas passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Cleburne. She was born February 19, 1949 in Porum, Oklahoma to Elmer Potter & Alma (Anderson) Potter. She married Gilbert Wayne "Buttermilk" Currie on July 28, 1965 in Brady and lived most of her life in Brady. She has lived in Cleburne for the last nine years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was very active in the choir, the Emmaus community and cooking for the youth LOGOS program. She was also the custodian for the Methodist church and Brady Independent School District for several years and was a member of the Jaycee Wives. She was a loving wife, mother, "NANA" and friend.
A memorial service for Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Currie will be held Thursday morning, March 30, 2017 at 10:30am at the First United Methodist Church in Brady with Reverend Kim Long, Reverend Sheldon Johnson and Reverend Phil Steinbach officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Jackie is survived by her daughters Sarah Moulden and husband Matthew of Cleburne, TX and Stacy Fisher and husband Jordan of Cleburne, TX; brothers Jimmy Potter and wife Norma of Brady, Texas, Joe Potter of Sulpher, OK and John Potter and wife Vickie of Brady, TX and her grandchildren Aubrey Fisher, Caroline Moulden and Hadley Moulden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert and brother Jerry Potter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends attending the service wear bright Emmaus colors to celebrate her life.
