Francis L. Reder

Francis L. (Frank) Reder died after a long illness on May 6, 2019, at the age of 79 in Cleburne.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Randa Shea Reder of Ft. Worth, his son Francis L. Reder III (Trey), stepson Cullen Curry of Ft. Worth, and stepdaughter Beth Spencer of Ft. Worth. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved partner and companion of 33 years, Nancy Talley, in 2018.
Frank was born the only child of Frank Reder Sr. and Vivian Tice Reder on February 13, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri. The family moved to Cleburne in 1948, and Mrs. Reder was a dearly loved teacher in the Cleburne schools for many years. Frank graduated from Cleburne High School, attended Texas Christian University, and graduated from the University of Florida at Coral Gables, Florida. He worked for Justin Boot Company for many years and was based in Sacramento, California.
Frank was a Friend of Bill W's. He was blessed by that community, and was a blessing to so many others in that fellowship for the thirty-five years of his active membership. Many of these good friends were also regulars at Frank and Nancy's Wednesday night prayer meetings held at their home for many years. Frank was an old-time country music lover, a great storyteller, loving companion and father, and will be missed by his many friends and by his family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 10:00am at the Hitchin' Post Chapel at 1801 E. Henderson St., Cleburne.

Frank was an old high school friend of my husband, David Anderson. I am so very sorry for your loss but know that Frank and David are having a heavenly reunion.

I love Randa and Janet like family. I just remember when Randa and I were kids, you picked us up in a limo twice. Once, just because, and you were in a fur coat... You were classy and so funny. The second time was her birthday. It was filled with balloons. I love that Janet got to see you too... She even fed you. I look up to the two of you. You are in good company in Heaven. Tell my daddy hi. Y'all will be great friends there. Most of all, thank you for giving me my best friend, Randa.

Well I can't tell you about Frank in this space. A few short lines; Frank lived across the street from us in Cleburne so I knew him ever since 1949. My sister brother and I considered Frank our relative. I knew all of his kin folk and a brother he was to all of us. I can write a book about Frank and our antics, some not printable, but he was a fine fine fellow and brother. Mrs. Reder was my fourth grade teacher and I loved her too. I know what his middle initial meant, at first when kids ,he didn't like it and then later on he thought it was cool, me to. I told my brother when I heard well there goes the last of our neighborhood family. We loved Frank God rest his soul!!!!
