GRANBURY -- Edward "Buck" "Pop" Trussell, 81, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 in Granbury. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Interment: Greenacres Memorial Park in Cleburne. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.
Edward was born April 22, 1935 in Cleburne to R.E. and Etta Tidwell Trussell.
He was a member of Triple Cross Cowboy Church where he was baptized in a horse trough and was cleansed.
Edward was a carpenter for many years, had a backhoe service with his son, Eddy, and was co-owner of Aunt Donna's Punkin Patch in Cleburne, active in his children's activities and always a laborer. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and landscaper. They sold their day care in 1986 and started making porcelain dolls and travelling. After settling in Granbury, Donna again went into child care where Edward "Mr. Buck" would help from time to time rocking the babies and became known as the baby whisperer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, C.D. Trussell and sister, Bonnie Sue Moore.
Survivors: Wife of 52 years, Donna Trussell of Granbury; daughter, Denisa Jacobs and husband, Richard of Santa Anna; son, Eddy Trussell and wife, Priscilla of Cleburne; grandchildren, Destiny Trussell and Matt Patton of Cleburne, Trenton Trussell of Cleburne and Kolton Jacobs of Santa Anna; great grandsons, Jacob Valdez and Jaxx Trussell of Cleburne.
