Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Kennemer Hinkle Flynn will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mike Mizell officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Hinkle, Jay Hinkle, Britton Hinkle, Cole Hinkle and Mark Carden.
Dorothy went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 23, 2016 at age 92 in Bedford, Texas. She was born to Jake and Nellie Kennemer May 1, 1924 in Bristow, Oklahoma and moved to Cleburne, Texas at age two.
Dorothy was a member of the Assemblies of God all her life, helping to build West Side playing the piano for the congregation there. Her passion was working with children. She spent years working in Cub and Boy Scouting.
Dorothy taught young girls to bake in her home and piano lessons were given to adults and children.
Nursing home service was another area of her service. She was an avid gardener and worked tirelessly for whoever had a need. She will be greatly missed.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Michael Hinkle of Bedford, Texas and Carl Hinkle of Godley, Texas; two daughters, Molly Faure of Oregon and Nelda Thigpenn of Florida; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
