Carroll "Dean" Brown went to be with His eternal Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on September 17, 2016 @ 4:17 p.m. surrounded by his loving family.
Carroll Dean was born in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas on April 1, 1936 to Willie Dean Brown & Bena Maurine Baker Brown. He was proceeded in death by his parents as well as 2 brothers Hershel Lee & Gary Wayne Brown.
Following his graduation from Abilene High, Carroll Dean entered into a partnership with with his father, W. Dean Brown. Their company, Brown & Son Construction built houses in and around Abilene. Carroll's father died in 1966 and shortly thereafter he moved his family to the Ft. Worth area where the continued to build homes.
In 1973 he closed Brown & Son and entered into partnership with Ken Binkley, his oldest and dearest friend of Binkley Construction, building stores, homes, and churches in the Ft. Worth, Dallas and Houston areas.
Carroll married his wife Nancy Marie in 1981 and 3 years later they started their family owned and operated company; Brown & Sons Construction Inc. in Houston.
In 1984 they moved to the Cleburne area to raise their family. In 1997 Carroll moved his family to the East Coast based in Virginia as well as North Carolina. In 2010 he moved back to Cleburne, Texas to retire and spend time with all of his family.
Carroll loved working with the glu-lam buildings, operating cranes, fishing, reading, racing his hot rods, building race cars but most of all, loving on his kids, grand-kids, and all the "extras" he loved like his own!!
Carroll is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy Marie Bogle Brown. Son, James Dean "Jimmy" Brown & his wife Tammy & their children, Ashley Nicole Brown, James Dean "Jimbob" and wife Katie. Son, Tye "Bubba" Brown and wife Rachel, and their children, Emily and her fiance Ethan Guehne, Hannah and Tyler Brown. Son, Billy Joe "BJ" Brown and wife Renee and their children, Hunter, Xander Dean, and Haley Rose Brown. Daughter Crystal Dawn Myers and husband Steven and children, Justin Michael-Dean and his fiance Morgan Copeland, Rebecca Dawn-Marie and her fiance Dylan Mackey. Carroll also helped raise his niece as his daughter, Ginger Kay and husband Tony Gatton and children, Paul Alexander Waldron, Kristen Kay Mizell, Brook Ashton Wilson. Great grand-babies Hollee Cheyenne Wilson, and Khloe Marie-Kay Mizell.
He is also survived by sisters and brother in law, Betty and Edwin Davis, Sonya Sue Brumit. Carroll had numerous nieces, nephews and adopted kids that call him Grandpa.
